“When the therapy is directed at bringing meaning, vitality and enthusiasm to the individual, recovered cancer patients seem to increase their chances for nonrecurrence, and people who are well their chances of maintaining their health.”

What Cancer As A Turning Point
Psychotherapy and Counseling Sevices
Can Do For You

Blossoming treeIf you have cancer, this approach is intended to provide you with an orientation and a direction that can make your life more fulfilling, regardless of your physical situation. Moving in that direction often mobilizes the self-healing resources so that your body can respond better to your treatment.

Today we believe that cancer is caused by a combination of genetic, environmental and psychological factors. What is of far more interest than the causes is what you can do about it.

You can’t alter your genetic factors. To some extent you can modify your environmental factors. However, you can change your psychological factors, by making changes in your life and inner changes. By so doing, you transform the total environment in which the cancer grew.  As you reshape the ecology of your total being through this kind of work there is often a positive change in your body’s ability to resist the cancer process.

If someone close to you has cancer, this approach can help you give the best kind of care to the person you love while taking care of yourself, too.

If you are well, whether you never had cancer or have recovered from it, this approach offers ways to help you improve your health and get a great deal more out of life.

If you practice psychotherapy or any other healthcare profession, we offer a new perspective, a different way of seeing your clients and interacting with them. As a result, your work with them can get better and become more of an adventure. You might find that it improves the quality of your life, too.
